About

The person documenting this build and why that context matters.

I work full time in construction. AffiliateTacticHive is built and documented alongside that in the evenings, early mornings, and weekends. This page explains who is behind the documentation and why that matters for how you use it.

Who is behind this site

David Swift. Construction professional. Building digital projects part-time.

I work full time in construction. AffiliateTacticHive is built and documented alongside that in the evenings, early mornings, and weekends.

I’m not a full time marketer. I’m not presenting this from a position of having already figured it out. I’m documenting the actual configuration process for Systeme.io, Hostinger, and AWeber as someone who uses these tools on real projects and has worked through the setup issues that come with them.

That context matters because most documentation on these tools is written by people who set them up years ago and are teaching from memory. This site is written by someone doing it now, which means the DNS issue that cost two hours last week is in the documentation next week.

How I got here

How I got here

2022: The Start

Started with Systeme.io and affiliate marketing

Started looking seriously at Systeme.io and affiliate marketing in 2022. Like most people, I started with fragmented information from dozens of sources, each one assuming a different level of prior knowledge. The problem was not effort. It was that nothing showed the full setup in the correct order with the actual costs disclosed.

2022-2023: The Filter

Built real working knowledge of the platforms

Spent this period building real working knowledge of the platforms: Systeme.io, Hostinger, DNS configuration, domain setup, email authentication. The technical side started making sense when applied to actual projects rather than watched in tutorials.

I also started teaching myself to code. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, working through freeCodeCamp and Codecademy in whatever time I had. Not because I needed to be a developer, but because understanding how things worked at a technical level meant I stopped being dependent on other people to build things for me.

2023-2024: The System

Found a structured course built on documented results

Found a structured course built by someone with real documented experience in digital and affiliate marketing. Applied the system to a PC optimization niche site. Results: 41,000+ impressions and 214 organic clicks in 28 days with zero ad spend. That site is the proof of concept documented in the case study section.

2024-Present

Building AffiliateTacticHive

Building AffiliateTacticHive as the documentation layer for everything learned across these projects. Tool reviews based on real use. Setup guides written in the correct order. Real costs disclosed at every plan level. The site the configuration process needed but didn’t have.

Built alongside a full time construction job

Built alongside a full time construction job

This matters because it is directly relevant to who this site is for.

I work full time in construction. AffiliateTacticHive, the PC optimization niche site, the Systeme.io setup documentation, the AWeber configuration guides — all of it is built in the time around a full time job.

That is not a disclaimer. It is a credential.

Most documentation on these tools is created by people who work on this full time. The hours they imply, the timelines they reference, the troubleshooting time they gloss over — these are based on full time availability.

This site is written from the same constraints you are working under. That changes what gets recommended, how the timelines are framed, and how much patience the documentation has for the DNS record that took two hours instead of twenty minutes.

Why this is relevant to you

Most online business content is created by people who are already doing it full time. The timelines they reference, the hours they imply, the troubleshooting steps they gloss over — these are based on full time availability. This site is written by someone working under the same constraints you are. That changes what gets recommended and how the timelines are framed.

What I actually know

Skills built through doing, not watching

The technical knowledge on this site comes from applying things to real projects, not from certifications or courses alone. Here is what that looks like in practice:

🛠️
Systeme.io 3+ years: funnels, email campaigns, automations, domain connection, sending domain setup
🌐
Hostinger 2+ years: web hosting, WordPress setup, domain management, DNS configuration across multiple sites
📧
AWeber 2+ years: email list setup, domain authentication, sender verification, campaign configuration
💻
HTML / CSS / JS Self-taught front-end development building and customising web pages from the code level up
⚙️
WordPress Theme configuration, custom HTML implementation, plugin setup, SEO configuration via Rank Math
📈
SEO and Content Systems Keyword research, content architecture, Google Search Console applied to live sites with measurable results
🔗
Affiliate Marketing Programme setup, link management, disclosure compliance built around long-term trust rather than short-term commission chasing

What AffiliateTacticHive is actually for

What AffiliateTacticHive is actually for

Most setup documentation on Systeme.io, Hostinger, and AWeber has the same problem.

It covers the easy steps clearly and skips the hard ones. It shows the DNS configuration without explaining what happens when records do not resolve. It demonstrates email setup without covering authentication — the step that determines whether emails reach inboxes or land in spam.

AffiliateTacticHive documents the full setup including the steps that most tutorials skip, because those are the steps that cost hours of debugging when they are missed.

Every tool reviewed here is one used on real projects over real time. Every cost is disclosed at every plan level. Every limitation is in the documentation, not omitted to protect a commission relationship.

The affiliate relationships are real and disclosed openly on the Affiliate Disclosure page. The commissions come from trust built on accurate documentation, not from hiding limitations and hoping nobody notices.

Where I started

Where I started

After working through fragmented documentation from multiple sources, one structured course gave me the framework I applied to the PC optimization niche site — the one with 41,000+ impressions in 28 days documented in the case study section.

The course is built by a mentor with real documented experience in digital and affiliate marketing. Not someone who started teaching six months after starting themselves.

The PC optimization site is the proof of concept. I’m not recommending this because I’m affiliated with it. I’m affiliated with it because it is what I would recommend regardless.

The starting point I recommend

The system applied to a niche site that reached 41k impressions in 28 days with zero ad spend.

Not more information. One clear system, built for people starting from where I was starting from. The proof of concept is documented in the case study section of this site.

Affiliate link. I earn a commission if you purchase. Full disclosure on the Affiliate Disclosure page. I would recommend this regardless.
