Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data AffiliateTacticHive collects, how it is used, and what your rights are as a visitor. It is written to be read — not just to exist.
Last updated: March 2026- This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. No personally identifiable data is collected through analytics.
- If you contact us by email, your email address and message content are stored only to respond to your enquiry.
- Affiliate links on this site use tracking cookies placed by the affiliate programme providers — not by this site directly.
- No data is sold to third parties. No marketing lists are built from visitor data without explicit opt-in.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data held about you at any time.
1. Who we are
AffiliateTacticHive is an independent website publishing reviews, tutorials, and case studies related to online business tools and systems. The site is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law — including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 — the site operator is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact: hello@affiliatetactichive.com
2. What data we collect
AffiliateTacticHive collects a minimal amount of data. The following categories apply:
Analytics data (automatically collected)
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring website or search engine
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country or region level — not precise location)
- Clicks on outbound links including affiliate links
This data is collected via Google Analytics and is aggregated and anonymised. It does not identify individual visitors by name or contact information.
Contact data (provided voluntarily)
- Email address when you contact us directly
- The content of any message you send
This data is collected only when you choose to contact AffiliateTacticHive directly. It is not collected passively or automatically.
Affiliate tracking data (collected by third parties)
When you click an affiliate link on this site, the affiliate programme provider (such as Systeme.io, Hostinger, or Kinsta) may place a tracking cookie on your device. This data is collected and controlled by those third parties, not by AffiliateTacticHive. See the Affiliate links & tracking section for more detail.
3. How we use data
Data collected by AffiliateTacticHive is used for the following purposes only:
- Understanding which content is useful to visitors so it can be improved
- Identifying technical issues with the site (pages that aren’t loading, high bounce rates on specific content)
- Responding to direct enquiries sent via email
- Measuring the performance of affiliate links in aggregate (not at an individual visitor level)
AffiliateTacticHive does not use collected data to build advertising profiles, retarget visitors with paid ads, or sell data to any third party.
The legal basis for processing analytics data under UK GDPR is legitimate interest — specifically, the interest in understanding how the site is used in order to improve it. You may opt out of analytics tracking at any time by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by adjusting your cookie preferences.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. AffiliateTacticHive uses the following categories of cookies:
Essential cookies
These are required for the website to function correctly. They do not collect personal data and cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality. WordPress, the platform this site runs on, sets a small number of essential cookies for session management.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics places cookies on your device to collect the anonymised usage data described in Section 2. These cookies remain on your device for up to 2 years unless cleared. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Affiliate tracking cookies
Clicking an affiliate link may cause the linked company to place a tracking cookie on your device. This cookie is used to attribute any resulting purchase to AffiliateTacticHive for commission purposes. These cookies are set and controlled by the affiliate programme providers, not by this site. Cookie duration varies by provider — typically between 30 and 90 days.
Managing cookies
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features on this and other websites. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers can be found at aboutcookies.org.
5. Third-party services
AffiliateTacticHive uses the following third-party services that may process data about your visit:
Google Analytics — website analytics. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy. IP anonymisation is enabled. Google Privacy Policy →
Hostinger — web hosting provider. Server logs may record IP addresses and access times as part of standard hosting infrastructure. These logs are maintained by Hostinger. Hostinger Privacy Policy →
Affiliate programme providers — Systeme.io, Hostinger affiliate programme, Kinsta, and the course provider. Each operates its own tracking and data processing systems when affiliate links are clicked. Links to their individual privacy policies are available on their respective websites.
AffiliateTacticHive does not share personal data with any third party beyond what is described above, and does not sell personal data under any circumstances.
6. Affiliate links and tracking
Many links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link, you will be redirected to the third-party website. At the point of redirect, that company may set a tracking cookie on your device. This cookie allows the company to identify that your visit originated from AffiliateTacticHive, and to attribute any purchase you make to this site for commission purposes.
AffiliateTacticHive does not receive your personal details as part of this process — only an anonymised confirmation that a purchase was made via the affiliate link. Your transaction details, payment information, and account data are held by the company you purchase from, not by this site.
Affiliate links are clearly identified in articles and on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Clicking an affiliate link does not cost you anything extra.
7. Data retention
AffiliateTacticHive retains data for the minimum period necessary for the purpose it was collected:
- Analytics data is retained within Google Analytics for 26 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted
- Email correspondence is retained for as long as it is relevant to an open enquiry, and deleted within 12 months of the enquiry being resolved
- Affiliate tracking cookies are set by third parties and subject to their own retention policies — typically 30 to 90 days
If you request deletion of any personal data held about you, it will be deleted within 30 days of the request, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
You can request a copy of any personal data held about you.
You can request correction of inaccurate personal data held about you.
You can request deletion of personal data held about you, subject to legal retention obligations.
You can object to processing of your personal data where it is based on legitimate interest.
